11 lbs Simpsons Maris Otter
3 oz East Kent goldings hops (mash)

Mashed in 120 F raised to 150 F then to 160F then out at 170F

45 IBU blend of northern brewer magnum and challenger hops 90 min boil

13.5 plato pre-boil

16.2 plato og

re-used english ale yeast

bottled with 1 oz east kent goldings

Yep…time to brew yet another porter. Wanted to change it up a bit with mega hop oils

10.5 lbs Simpson’s Maris Otter
0.5 lbs black patent malt
0.75 lbs chocolate malt
4 oz Sorachi Ace hops (mash)

Step mash, mashed in at 120 f and raised to 152, rested then 160 f then out at 170f

15.0 plato pre boil

45 ibu magnum 12.4 alpha 90 min boil

Simpsons malt special once again

9 lbs Simpsons MO
1.5oz east kent goldings and 1 oz challenger hops (mash)

nashed in 130Fish raised into 150’s slowly by steps mashed out 168f

11.5 plato pre-boil

35 ibu challenger 9.6 alpha 90 min boil

english ale yeast re-pitch

13.3 plato og

bottled with 1 oz east kent goldings hops

mashed in too high again, 140’s. raised into 150’s held each for a good 30 mins mashed out 170f

40IBU German Magnum 90 min boil
