Starting up a new yeast, this time instead of German Bock, we have German Lager yeast from white labs. Jenny Jump spring water.Lowered the amount of base malt because our OG has been coming in too high.
8 lbs Avangard Pils malt
2 oz Acidulated malt
1 oz Tetnanger (mash)
Decoction mash, mashing in at 120F and slowly raising to 155 before decocting to raise to mash out temp.
30 IBU Northern brewer 9.9 Alpha
1 whirlfloc tablet 15 mins boil
OG 12.4 Plato

4 oz Soriachi Ace hops (Mash)
1 whirlfloc tablet 15 mins
Mashed in at 110 F and slowly raised up to 160 F, then mashed out at 168F
3/8 oz East Kent Goldings 7.2 Alpha
1.25 Oz Northern Brewer 9.9 alpha
60 IBU total
90 min boil

Pitched starter with mangrove jack burton ale yeast
2 oz Soriachi Ace hops added at bottling time (Steeped 10 minutes in DME priming sugar before pouring through strainer)

Double decoction mash
1/2 oz Northern Brewer 20 IBU 9.9 Alpha 90 min boil
1 Whirlfloc tablet (15 mins)
Using an old packet of Bohemian Lager dried yeast that had to be started up.
