Wanted to do the Soriachi Ace thingy againy. This time a lil bit bigger with more hops!

Jenny Jump spring water again

13 lbs TF Maris Otter
4 oz Soriachi Ace (Mash)

1 oz 11.9 AA Soriachi Ace 57 IBU (for 16 Plato Pre Boil)
1/4 oz 15 AA Warrior for 15 IBU

72 IBU Total

2 oz Soriachi Ace used to bottle hop this one

18.2 OG (water was added)

Re-Pitched English Ale yeast

Once again using Jenny jump Mountain Spring Water

8 lbs TF Maris Otter
1/4 lb chocolate malt
1/2 lb Special Roast (Brown)
1 ox East Kent Goldings (Mash)

1 whirlfloc tablet 15 mins

20 IBU east Kent goldings 90 min boil

12.3 Plato OG

English Ale yeast

Brew Day! Single Hop Pale Ale! Soriachi Ace!

Wanted to take the Soriachi Ace hop to the next level, while backing off a bit on the malt. We did not use Jenny Jump water for the IPA as we will be using here.

10 lbs TF Maris Otter
3 Oz Soriachi Ace hops (mash)

Mash in at 130F and hold 15 mins raise to 145 F and hold 15 mins raise to 150 F and hold for 30 mins raise to 155 F and hold for 20 mins raise slowly to 170F and sparge

35 IBU Soriachi Ace hops 11.9 alpha for 90 mins
1 whirlfloc tablet 15 mins

OG 14.5 Plato

Once again using Jenny Jump Spring water

12.5 lbs TF Maris Otter
1/2 lb chocolate malt
1/2 lb Black Patent
1 oz Fuggles and 1 oz East Kent goldings (Mash)

35 IBU Warrior hops 90 mins 15.7 A
1 whirlfloc tablet 15 mins

Mashed in a thick mash at 130F and slowly raised to the mid 140’s and held there for 20 mins then into the mid 150s and held for 30 mins slowly raised to mash out

Re-pitched English Ale yeast from ESB

18.9 Plato OG
